LG Electronics has achieved its highest-ever financial performance for the second quarter, fueled by strong demand across several of its key business sectors, including home appliances, vehicle components, and HVAC systems. The company announced a preliminary operating profit of 1.58 trillion won ($1.04 billion), marking a significant 146.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, LG’s revenue surged by 14.9% to reach 23.83 trillion won, exceeding market forecasts.
The first half of the year has seen LG setting new benchmarks with 47.56 trillion won in revenue and 3.25 trillion won in operating profit. These records were driven by increased sales in major business areas, enhanced cost efficiency, and growth in subscription services and webOS. Moreover, the company has seen a boost in online sales, contributing to this financial success.
