China has imposed new export controls on 40 Japanese entities, accusing them of aiding Japan’s military advancements and efforts towards “remilitarization.” The restrictions target 20 Japanese companies and divisions, including units associated with major firms, barring Chinese and foreign exporters from supplying them with dual-use goods that could serve both civilian and military functions.
